Kurbani Service at Masjid Salahadeen
The act of Kurbani, or Qurbani, is a sacred tradition in Islam, commemorating the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) in obedience to Allah’s command. At Masjid Salahadeen, we offer Kurbani services to help our community fulfill this important religious obligation during the blessed days of Eid al-Adha.
What is Kurbani?
Kurbani is the ritual sacrifice of an animal—typically a sheep, goat, cow, or camel—offered to Allah during Eid al-Adha. This sacrifice symbolizes devotion, gratitude, and the spirit of sharing. The meat from the Kurbani is divided into three parts: one part for the family, one part for relatives and friends, and one part for the poor and needy.
Our Kurbani Service Include:
- Meat Distribution
We provide an easy way to fulfill the charitable aspect of Kurbani by distributing a portion of the meat to those in need. At Masjid Salahadeen, we organize the distribution of Kurbani meat to local families facing food insecurity, ensuring that your sacrifice benefits the most vulnerable in our community.
How to Participate:
To participate in our Kurbani service, please register online or contact the Masjid office for more information. We will guide you through the process, from selecting the animal to ensuring the proper distribution of the meat. Whether you choose to perform Kurbani locally or globally, we are here to help make this important act of worship easy and meaningful.
